Magnetofection / Magnetic Transfection
OZ Biosciences has developed the new technique of magnetic transfection, or Magnetofection. The DNA, RNA or virus to be transfected is complexed with magnetic particles; the complexes are then added to the target cells and placed on a special magnet. Under the force of the magnetic field the complexes are drawn towards, and into, the target cells. Unique Magnetofection reagents are available for DNA, siRNA and viral vectors including retroviruses and lentiviruses. In addition to Magnetofection reagents we also offer DreamFect, an advanced transfection reagent utilizing Tee-Technology which provides high transfection efficiency and improved protein expression.
