Mobitec’s Bacillus Megaterium protein expression system provides a versatile and easy to handle tool for stable and high yield protein production.
B. megaterium has proven to be an excellent alternative host to E. coli for heterologous gene expression. Unlike other bacilli strains, proteolytic degradation by alkaline proteases is avoided. In addition, there are no endotoxins found in the cell wall. As a result, protein yields are exceptionally high, accumulating up to 30% of the total soluble protein. Using the tightly regulated xylose operon, genes can be induced 130- to 350-fold without proteolysis.
We are pleased to offer a wide range of B. Megaterium vectors for a variety of applications, as well as ready to use protoplasts for transformation.
FEATURES:
Stable protein expression with high yield; Ideal for both small and large scale protein production; Xylose Operon: Tightly regulated and efficiently inducible by xylose (up to 350-fold): Extended polylinker downstream of promoter allows versatile cloning; Additional BsrGI site enables cloning without modifying the N-terminus; no indication of proteolytic instability even up to 5 hours after induction, since alkaline proteases (such as e.g. in B. subtilis) are not produced; Endotoxins are not found in the cell wall; Versatile production (intracellular or extracellular); Versatile purification (native, 6xHis-Tag, Strep-Tag, 6xHis/Strep double-tag); Removable tag version (for Xa protease) available for Strep-Tag; Suited for industrial large scale protein production as well as laboratory research; All B. subtilis vectors are compatible
We are pleased to offer a wide range of B. Megaterium vectors for a variety of applications, as well as ready to use protoplasts for transformation.

CONTROLS: built-in sample (template) control in every tube and separate gDNA positive control
Description: Testing for Mycoplasma is an important and necessary quality control measure. It has been shown that Mycoplasma is a common cell culture contaminent. Mycoplasma. As many as 50% of continuous cell cultures, are contaminated with Mycoplasma, which may grow slowly, not killing the cells outright but leading to unreliable results. This kit allows detection of all important species of Mycoplasma Mycoplasma contaminants can be detected simply as amplified fragments on a DNA gel; labeled probes are not necessary.
The reliability of Mycoplasma detection in your cell cultures requires proper controls.
Now e-myco PLUS includes the triple checking system:
- an internal control to reduce the chance of false negatives (in every tube)
- artificial gene derived from human TNFα
- same primers amplify internal control and sample
- control (160bp) and sample (260bp) products differentiated by size
- eliminates false negatives due to failed PCR
- a sample control to test the integrity of your template DNA (in every tube)
- primer set amplifies a 570bp housekeeping gene in your sample
- validates the integrity of your sample preparation
- a separate positive control to validate the assay (separate tube)
- gDNA derived from M. fermentans infected K562
- 260bp product (same as positive samples)
- validates all aspects of the system

The Blocking Solution is the most effective Blocker – measurably and reproducibly – for all types of immunoassays. The Blocking Solution blocks non-specific binding by saturating free binding sites on plastic surfaces, membranes or other protein binding surfaces and thus prevents non-specific binding to surfaces. By incubating the surface with The Blocking Solution (e.g. western blotting membrane or microtiter plate), exposed sites on the surface are blocked by the components of The Blocking Solution. This minimizes unwanted binding of the analyte or the detection antibody to the surface and so background can be avoided and sensitivity of the assay can be improved. The Blocking Solution is based on chemically modified and fragmented highly purified casein.
The Blocking Solution is a unique blocking buffer that saturates free binding sites on a variety of surfaces – membranes, plastic or other protein binding surfaces. The active constituent is based on a chemically modified, highly purified, hydrolyzed casein consisting of peptides of a wide range of molecular weights.
The Blocking Solution
- reduces nonspecific binding
- reduces background
- improves sensitivity
The Blocking Solution is a ready-to-use blocking agent for use in:
- WB
- ELISA
- IHC
- EIA
- RIA
- Protein Arrays
- Immuno-PCR

This buccal swab features a unique approach to sample handling which is much improved over other systems: each DNA collection swab is packaged with a 2ml microtube and special cap. After the cheek sample is obtained, the swab is inserted into the microtube and the special cap is slid down the shaft and applied to the tube. When the shaft of the T-Swab is pulled out, the swab head itself disengages from the shaft and remains in the tube. The cap is then plugged with the attached plug for a secure seal and the tube with the swab head inside can be transported; the DNA can subsequently be isolated right in the 2ml tube, or the swab can be transferred to a different tube.
T-Swabs are an advanced design of buccal swabs which provide high yield DNA retrieval and convenient transport. The swab itself is manufactured of a special plastic material (so that cells are not absorbed into the matrix) and features a unique “raised chevron” design for increased yield (up to 6ug of DNA per swab).

T-Swabs are buccal DNA swabs featuring an innovative design which guarantees high-yield DNA retrieval and provides convenient transport. Manufactured of a special plastic material which minimizes absorption of cells into the plastic matrix, the swab head also features a “raised chevron” design for increased yield (up to 6ug of DNA per swab). In order to simplify sample handling, each swab is packaged with a 5ml plastic collection tube and cap. There is a score in the shaft, just above the head, so that after the cheek sample is obtained, the swab is inserted in the tube and the shaft is removed by gentle pressure at the score, leaving only the swab head in the tube. The tube, containing only the swab head, is then capped and ready to be transported to the lab for processing.

Our TET03 monoclonal anti-TetR antibody is a lyophilized IgG1 Kappa antibody that is ideal for immunofluorescence (IF) applications. After reconstitution in 100ul of distilled water it can be further diluted 1:100 to 1:500 for IF. The antibody recognizes amino acid # 37 – 44 of the TetR antigen. It can be used to detect TetR, TetR-Fusion, tTA and rtTA forms of the antigen. This antibody is part of a unique set of three polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies targeting the Tet-Repressor protein (TetR) for study of this popular regulatory system, which is widely used for selective target gene regulation in eukaryotic cells.
This TET02 monoclonal anti-TetR antibody cocktail is a mixture of two IgG1 Kappa monoclonals. The immunogen is TetR-tetO; it recognizes two epitopes of the TetR protein: amino acid # 84 – 98 and amino acid # 26 -53. It is provided in the format of 1mg of purified antibody and is lyophilized. After reconstitution in 100ul of distilled water, the antibody can be further diluted 1:1000 for use in ELISA and Western Blotting applications.
